You’re in Bali and you see a limping dog outside your café. Or you’re scrolling at home and a rescue post stops you mid-feed — a cat with an injured eye, a puppy found alone on the roadside. Someone is already there, helping. And you think: I want to be part of this. But how do I actually help?
That question is exactly why Fund-a-Paw exists.
Rescuers in Bali are out there every single day — picking up animals, rushing to vets, coordinating care — often on their own time and their own money. The last thing they need is more admin, more messages to answer, more bank transfers to chase. What they need is for your kindness to reach the animal, simply and without friction.
Here’s exactly how that happens on Fund-a-Paw.
Step 1: A Verified Rescuer Opens a Case
Every rescuer on Fund-a-Paw has been reviewed and approved before they can raise funds. They provide their rescue history and go through an interview — so that by the time you see a case, the groundwork has already been done.
When a rescuer brings an animal to one of our approved vets, they open a case on the platform. It includes photos and updates on the animal, the story of how they were found, the vet’s treatment plan, and a clear funding goal based on the actual estimate.
You see the animal. You see the plan. You see exactly what’s needed.
Step 2: You Chip In — Directly to That Animal
You choose a case that moves you and contribute directly to that specific animal’s treatment. There are no general funds. Your support is tied to one animal, one vet, one clear outcome.
The price of a coffee can cover a day of medication. A few more can cover a vet consultation. However much you give, it has a direct destination — and you receive a receipt through the platform so you always have a record.
The rescuer doesn’t need to follow up with you. You don’t need to ask where the money went. That part is already handled. As the case goes by, the rescuer adds updates on the animal and all of this is visible to the supporters.
Step 3: The Vet Gets Paid Directly
Once a case is fully funded, we don’t send the money to the rescuer. We pay the vet directly.
We verify the final invoice — confirming the treatment matches what was listed and the amount is accurate — before any payment is released. The vet receives the funds, the animal receives the care, and every transaction is documented.
The rescuer can focus entirely on the animal. That’s the whole point.
Step 4: You See How the Story Ends
After payment is made, the rescuer uploads the final zero-balance invoice and an update on the animal. The case only closes once every document is in place and visible on the platform.
That means you can come back and see it — the invoice, the outcome, the animal on the other side of their recovery. This is what we call the Transparency Loop. It only closes when the journey is complete.
Help That Actually Helps
We built Fund-a-Paw because we believe no rescuer should feel alone in an emergency, and no supporter should have to wonder if their kindness made a difference. By verifying every case and paying vets directly, we removed the burden and the doubt — so that when you choose to help, your support reaches the animal without a single hurdle in its way.
You don’t need to do anything except chip in. We’ll take care of the rest.
